Soul Merging is allowing the soul energy, higher self energy, sometimes light bodies to merge as one.
 
When two merge there is an expansion for each person.  Somehow, sharing codes, information, skills , tools, abilities etc.  We can merge with anyone, anything, any being. 
So each time we consciously merge with another person,   we are expanding ourselves by that agreed sharing as well as the other, whom we have merged with.
